7.8. Genlock
Set Up Genlock
- Plug SAC012 cable to the middle pins of J4 connector on the master board. The middle pins
provide Y-component signal, which can be used for genlocking of a slave board.
- Plug the cable to J1 connector of the slave board.
- If there is a next slave board use JP2 connector of the genlocked board to pass through the
genlock signal.
- Plug a 75Ohm terminator to JP2 of the last board in the chain.
- Open PlayerLWm application.
- Select configuration of the slave board.
- Open [PLAYER CONFIGURATION]
- Choose [Edit Configuration]
- Expand [Device] in LW Setting Page.
- Expand [Genlock Control Settings].
- Set Clock Reference to Genlock Input.
- Close LW Setting Page.
- Choose configuration of the other slave board in the list Preview Window (page 33 (3)).
Repeat setting procedure for the board.
- When the boards are configured restart the PlayerLWm application.
Set Up SDI Synchronisation
SDI-Input of the board can be used to synchronize the board by external SDI signal.
It requires when the HD-SDI OUTPUT is set to 3G modes (1080p50/59.94 or 60).
- Plug SDI cable to HD-SDI output of the Master board.
- Plug the SDI cable to SDI input of the Slave board.
- Select configuration of the slave board in Preview Window.
- Open [PLAYER CONFIGURATION]
- Choose [Edit Configuration]
- Expand [Device] in LW Setting Page.
- Expand [Genlock Control Settings].
- Set Clock Reference to SDI Input.
- Close LW Setting Page.
Use SDI repeater to synchronize more than one slave board.
- Plug HD-SDI output of the Master board to SDI-IN of the repeater.
- Use the outputs of the repeater to synchronize the slave boards.
- Configure Clock Reference of every slave board to SDI-Input.
Check Genlock Status
